A Psalm of Thanksgiving for the Present Ministry of Christ

O God, you are my salvation and my hope,
To you I give thanks.
I praise you for your Son and my Savior,
For all he did for me on the cross.
That on the basis of his death, my sins can be forgiven,
your wrath satisfied, my soul set free,
and my relationship to you restored!

I praise you that his work did not end there
But goes on and on and on.

O Father, I thank you that Christ is right now
Working His plan for the ages ... and for me!
No one can thwart his plan, no one can stop his progress!
Also, I praise you that Christ is interceeding and advocating
For me and for believers around the world. Oh how we
Need him to plead our case! And oh how grateful I am
That he does so not based on my performance but on his propitiation!
In addition, my soul rejoices in all the preparations he has made
To one day welcome me to your house, Father.
What a glorious day that will be!

Oh my soul, rejoice in the ongoing work of Jesus,
The God-Man, our Savior, God's Son,
Lord of lords and King of kings, the Christ!

Amen
